I hate...
It's very hard to simultaneously plan for the future, yet wait in the present. It's a tedious waiting game and at times the wait itself is enough to drive one mad. But thank goodness for lovely memories of my recent travels and spider solitaire.
Before my unemployment finishes, I must get myself sorted for a phd, and my applications. Again, how do you plan for your future when your present is so uncertain...at times, split personalities is a benefit.
Everyday I plan for the next day, telling myself that tomorrow I'll set myself a schedule, then a week passes and what have I to show - nothing but rejection letters. For the amount of applications I have done, I'm sure something will show in the next week or so. Time is running short...
Idleness is a vacuum with seemingly no definition.

Week 2 Hitting the bottom
The aim of these posts is to remind me...I am not so sad and pathetic as I victimise myself to be.
During unemployment I have to:
1. Keep sane
2. Drink
3. Remember to follow my own drummer....although she seems to have lost her drumming stick.
"Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show" - Charles Dickens from David Copperfield.
